How to get a Diploma/ITI Equivalent 12th Certificate:

Equivalent Certificate Meaning:

Students who have not passed the 12th standard and get direct admission in diploma/ITI courses after the 10th are equivalent to the 12th standard (Science).

In this regard, the education department has passed resolution MSB-1211-590-Ch on the day of 02 Jun 2011.

For making education employment-oriented by encouraging and promoting skill development courses imparted in the ITI and polytechnics and with the view to reducing the gap between such types of courses and higher education the matter was under consideration of the government.

For treating the above-recognized course as equivalent to the 12th standard for the purpose of government jobs and for higher educational purposes.

After careful consideration of the matter, it is resolved by the government as under:

  1. “Those candidates who, after passing Standard 10th, have done a three-year Diploma course in Polytechnic, such candidates shall be considered as possessing educational qualification of Standard 12th.“
  2. “Those candidates who, after passing Standard 10th, have completed a recognized course of I.T.I. conducted for a period of two years or more and have passed the examination in that regard held by National Council for Vocational Training (N.C.V.T.) or
  3. State Council for Vocational Training (S.C.V.T.); and on their own volition have appeared and passed the examination conducted by the State Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board for the subject of English prescribed for Standard 12th, such candidates shall be considered as possessing educational qualification of Standard 12th.“

Is Diploma Equivalent to 12th:

As We know students of the 10th standard directly get admission in diploma engineering and spend their 3-year duration other side 12th standard requires 2 years only.

So as a result as per para 1 of the above resolution students of the Polytechnic Diploma can get the 12th standard equivalent certificate just after completing their 3-year Polytechnic Diploma. The diploma is equivalent to the 12th HSC.

Is ITI Equivalent to 12th?

The HRD ministry decided to make a 2-year ITI Equivalent to the 12th HSC as per para 2 of the above resolution. Two-year ITI courses should be National Council for Vocational Training (N.C.V.T.) or State Council for Vocational Training (S.C.V.T.) approved.

Not only a certificate of 12th arts only! But you will get the 12th standard (Science) equivalent certificate for the admission of B.Sc/B.Com/B.A. and for higher educational purposes. You will get full access which gets 12th standard science students.

How to Get an Equivalent Certificate:

1. Collect your original diploma engineering mark sheet. 

2. Also, collect your diploma provisional or diploma degree certificate from your college.

2. Go to the above address.

3. Fill the following equivalent certificate form with the required data.

Diploma/ITI Equivalent 12th Certificate
GSEB Equivalent Certificate Form

4. Pay the 200 RS fee by cash or DD

(In the favor of above address)

 5. Submit your form with the original certificate.

 6. They verify your photocopy with the original and then return your original certificate. 

 7. After completing payment wait for 1 to 2 hours.

8. Now Collect your equivalent certificate from the office.

 2. Students with clear their all backlogs and ATKTs are eligible to apply.

    Sorry Brother Engineering admission possible only after 12th science with JEE main exam and UGC approved diploma. You can get admission in other bachelor programma like BA, B.COM, and B.SC after diploma.

    See your sister need to be present at the Gandhinagar, As there is a rule that the certificate should be handover to the rightful person who owns it and they might ask for the Identity proof Attested by the Authorized Notary of India to check the identity.

    So in my opinion they might not give you the certificate, However you can try your luck best.

    You'll get Diploma Certificate for sure if you have cleared all the Examinations and don't have nay other Backlogs left. There is a simple procedure you can contact your college Administration Dept. for more information.

    Another Certificate is Equivalent Certificate. You will get the Certificate from Gandhinagar. Please read the blog for more info.

    And that's it Folks. You don't need to get any other certificate for now if you have cleared your diploma certificate.

    I was issued my 12th equivalency certificate in the year of 2019, but their is below mentioned thing on it ,which are given below.

    “CERTIFIACTE IS ISSUED HIM/HER FOR EDUCATIONAL PURPOSE ONLY”

    So now a days one SSC(staff selection commission) released one notification for STENOGRAPHER 2020 and their is eligibility is only 12th pass or equivalent.

    So am I eligible for it or not ?

    And if I am eligible for it so is their any government resolution for it or any government official order SO PLEASE SHARE LINK WITH ME cause I found nothing for it on GSHSEB.

    Because same resolution is passe by haryana board for it.

    Yes, You are right, on the Equivalent certificate of Gujarat Higher Education Board It is mentioned,

    “CERTIFICATE IS ISSUED HIM/HER FOR EDUCATIONAL PURPOSE ONLY”

    Because they are issuing an Equivalent certificate on the base of the circular passed on 02/06/2011.

    And your second query is about the eligibility for 12th intermediate level government jobs.

    It mostly depends on the exam body that conducts an examination, and almost all exam bodies consider diploma students to 12th equivalent.

    I suggest you personally, First, ask SSC about What is their approach toward 12th equivalent students and then prepare for it.
